ABSORBENTS
Absorbents, also known as absorbent materials, are special substances designed to capture spills, primarily of hazardous liquids. They are divided into two main categories – textile absorbents and loose absorbents. Textile absorbents are further classified into three types, which are also color-coded based on their use. Gray universal absorbents are suitable for absorbing non-aggressive liquids, pink chemical-resistant absorbents are intended for aggressive chemicals, and white hydrophobic absorbents repel water and aqueous solutions, allowing them to float on the water surface for a long time. Thanks to these properties, absorbents are essential tools for managing spills and protecting the environment.
