Chemical absorptive mat – basic (40 cm x 50 m)

• Chemical absorbent mat roll is designed for the rapid absorption and clean-up of spills of aggressive liquids, especially acids, alkalis and other chemicals
• The highly chemical-resistant absorbent material allows spilled liquids to be quickly absorbed directly at the source of the spill
• Absorbent roll has an absorption capacity of up to 110 l of oil and 73 l of water, making it suitable both for dealing with larger spills and for continuously absorbing smaller drips
• The 40 cm × 50 m size allows longer working areas to be covered or the roll to be easily cut to the required size
• The pink colour makes the chemical absorbent easy to identify and helps prevent it from being confused with universal or hydrophobic absorbents
• Absorbed substances remain securely bound in the absorbent and the absorbent does not alter the properties of the absorbed substances

Procedure for cleaning up hazardous liquid spills:
 

1. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment depending on the type and properties of the spilled liquid.
    
2. Cut the absorbent to the required size and shape.
    
3. Place the sorbent on the spilled liquid.
   The liquid is quickly absorbed into the material until the absorbent reaches its full absorption capacity, indicated by a uniform darkening of the material.
    
4. Replace when fully saturated or if the material becomes damaged by repeated wringing.
   After removing the spilled liquid, place the used absorbent in a suitable container for hazardous substances.
