Procedure for handling hazardous liquid spills:
- Use personal protective equipment depending on the type and nature of the spilled liquid.
- Select the required quantity and type of absorbent socks, or connect individual socks to the required length.
- Place the absorbent socks around the spill area, or create a barrier in the direction of the liquid flow. The liquid quickly absorbs into the absorbent socks until the full absorption capacity is reached (continuous dark discoloration of the fabric).

Regenerate the saturated absorbent socks – Caution when dealing with concentrated chemicals. Remove and wring out the saturated absorbent socks into the container for hazardous substances. After wringing, the absorbent socks can be reused as per step 3. Wringing regeneration helps to minimize the amount of sorbent used and separates the absorbed liquid.
CAUTION: use protective equipment! - Replace if fully saturated, or if damaged due to repeated wringing. After removing the spilled liquid, remove the used absorbent socks and store them in the prepared container for hazardous substances.
