Description of chemical absorbent:

• absorbent granules offer quick and easy use in crisis situations
• the pink color of the absorbent granules eliminates the possibility of confusion with other types of absorbents
• absorbed substances are not released by the absorbent
• absorbs very quickly
• the absorbent granules do not alter the properties of the absorbed substances

Recommended use of the absorbent:

• cleanup of chemical spills
• absorption of aggressive liquids from solid surfaces
• absorption of drips of aggressive, hydrophilic liquids near machines and equipment in chemical and other operations

Procedure for handling hazardous liquid spills:

1. When handling spills, use personal protective equipment appropriate for the type and nature of the spilled liquid.
2. Sprinkle the absorbent onto the surface of the liquid and allow it to act. The liquid quickly absorbs into the individual granules until the full absorption capacity is reached (uniform dark color of the granules).
3. Speed up absorption by stirring the absorbent with appropriate tools (shovel, rake, etc.).
4. Replace if the absorbent granules are fully saturated with the spilled liquid. After the absorption capacity is reached, remove the used absorbent with appropriate tools (shovel, bucket, etc.) and place it in a prepared container for hazardous substances.
