Procedure for handling a hazardous liquid spill:

1. When handling a spill, use personal protective equipment depending on the type and nature of the spilled liquid.
2. Place the chemical mats on the surface of the liquid.
3. The liquid quickly absorbs into the fabric until full saturation (continuous dark coloring of the fabric).
4. Replace when fully saturated or if the material is damaged.
5. After removing the spilled liquid, remove the used mats and dispose of them in the prepared hazardous waste container.
