Recommended use of the absorbent:

• absorbent barrier for handling oil spills and hazardous liquid leaks
• prevention of oil spills
• post-treatment of water in lagoons; continuous absorption of small amounts of oil from water in drains and pits
• for localizing an oil spill on water surfaces or solid surfaces

Procedure for handling oil spills:

1. Select the required number of absorbent socks, or connect individual socks to the necessary length.
2. Place the absorbent socks around the oil spill or create an absorbent barrier in the flow direction of the spilled liquid. Optionally, place the sock directly in the contaminated area. The oil quickly absorbs into the socks until the absorption capacity is fully saturated (uniform dark color).
3. Replace if fully saturated or if the material is damaged. After the spill is contained, remove the used socks and store them in a prepared hazardous material container.

Dispose of the used material in accordance with applicable regulations!
