Applications:

Procedure for handling oil spills:

1. Place the material with the sorbent layer on the oil spill and let it work. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until the sorbent reaches full capacity (indicated by consistent dark coloration of the fabric).
2. Regenerate saturated pillows. Remove them from the surface, fold, and squeeze out the liquid. Regeneration by squeezing minimizes the amount of sorbents used and separates the captured liquid.
3. Replace pillows when fully saturated. Remove the used pillows and store them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
