Non-woven textile REO Fb (1,8 x 10 m)

• the NTRF textile is made from highly durable, yet porous, hydrophobic fibers with a large surface area (0.6 m2/g)
• the material is water-permeable and captures oil-based substances through surface absorption
• it is used for capturing oil substances from aquatic environments
• example of use: parking lot – interlocking pavement: membrane layer 400 g/m2

procedure for dealing with oil spill:

1. choose the appropriate size and shape of the textile, or cut it to the desired length and shape
2. place the material with the absorption layer on the oil stain and let it act. the liquid quickly absorbs into the fabric until the absorption capacity is fully saturated (the textile will show a continuous dark discoloration)
3. regenerate the saturated textile. remove the saturated textile from the surface, fold it, and squeeze it. squeezing regeneration allows: minimizing the amount of sorbent used - separating the captured liquid
4. replace if fully saturated. remove the used textile and place it in a prepared container for hazardous substances.
