Procedure for Oil Spill Cleanup:

1. place the material on the liquid surface and let it act. liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until full saturation (indicated by consistent darkening of the fabric)
2. regenerate saturated mats by removing, folding, and wringing them. repeat the process as needed. regeneration by wringing allows for: minimizing the amount of absorbents used; separating captured liquid
3. remove used mats and place them in a designated container for hazardous waste
