procedure for dealing with an oil spill:

1. choose the appropriate size and shape of the carpet, or cut the desired length and shape
2. place the material on the liquid surface and let it act. the liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until the sorptive capacity is fully saturated (continuous dark coloring of the fabric)
3. regenerate the saturated carpet. remove the saturated carpet, fold it, and squeeze it. squeezing regeneration allows: minimizing the amount of used sorbents; separating the absorbed liquid
4. remove the used carpet and place it in the prepared container for hazardous materials
