Procedure for Cleaning Up Oil Spills:

1. Select the appropriate size and shape of the matting, or cut it to the required length and shape.
2. Place the material on the oil spill and allow it to absorb. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until the absorbent capacity is fully saturated (uniform dark colouring of the material).
3. Replace when fully saturated. Remove the used matting and place it in a designated container for hazardous waste.
