Procedure for handling oil spills:

1. Choose the required quantity and type of socks.
2. Place the absorbent socks around the spill area, or create a dam in the direction of the flow of the spilled liquid, ensuring the ends of the socks overlap. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the socks until they are fully saturated (indicated by a continuous dark coloration of the outer layer).
3. Replace them if fully saturated. After removing the spilled liquid, take off the used socks and store them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
