Procedure for Handling Oil Spills:
- Choose the necessary amount and type of socks.
- Place the absorbent socks around the spill area, or create a barrier in the direction of the spilled liquid flow, ensuring that the ends of the socks overlap. The liquid will quickly be absorbed by the socks until full saturation (indicated by a continuous dark coloration of the covering).
- Replace if completely saturated. After removing the spilled liquid, gather the used socks and place them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
