Procedure for handling oil spills:

1. Choose the required quantity and type of socks
2. Place the absorbent socks around the spill area, or create a barrier in the direction of the spilled liquid flow, ensuring that the ends of the socks overlap
3. The liquid quickly absorbs into the socks until full saturation is reached (indicated by a continuous dark coloration of the outer layer)
4. Replace if fully saturated
5. After removing the spilled liquid, take the used socks and place them in a prepared hazardous waste container
